DETAILS
Optimized for AR-15 platforms, AIR BRACE is the firearm industry’s highest performing, ultra-light cantilever scope mount.
At an incredibly light 4 ounces, the AIR BRACE punches far above its weight thanks to its efficient structural design. The tubular cantilevered section of the AIR BRACE maximizes its area moment of inertia (the property that tells us how strong and stiff a beam is) while prioritizing a lightweight and compact design. Unlike competing products for which the scope supports the forward ring more than that ring supports the scope, the forward ring of the AIR BRACE actually supports the scope because its cantilevered section more effectively bears shear stress between the uppermost and lower most portions of the mount-scope structural system. The AIR BRACE was designed to cooperate with the scope to create a structural system that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Like our M-BRACE rings and mounts, the AIR BRACE scope clamps exhibit symmetry about the vertical plane which eliminates annoying scope roll when tightening the screws making scope installation the easiest available. This also eliminates residual torsion (twist) in the installed scope which preserves the flatness of the mount surface that contacts the top of the rail, and thus improves return-to-zero performance should the mounted scope be removed and reinstalled on the gun.
The AIR BRACE scope clamps have relief cuts where they meet at 12 o’clock that disengage the clamp edge from the scope to reduce the risk of marring the scope, and in most cases eliminate it.
All AIR BRACE screws are made in-house from 17-4 stainless steel offering excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. Recommended torque for rail and scope screws is clearly engraved on the mount. And in addition to looking cool, the rail clamp screws can be tightened using any of the following: 4mm or 5/32” hex keys and 8mm or 5/16” wrenches. The scope clamp screw uses a 3mm hex key.
A type 2 black anodized finish is applied to the 7000 series aluminum alloy from which the rest of the AIR BRACE is expertly machined in-house using state of the art CNC machines.

HEIGHT
Important Notes:
- Below are the minimum height recommendations for clearance.
- Most ARs are better suited for a 38mm height mount.
- Some chassis have a full length picatinny rail, which give them an AR-like profile. Please refer to the AR column if this applies to your build.
- For actions with a 90 degree bolt rotation, when the M-Brace is mounted to the far aft recoil slot in the picatinny rail, there is a potential for interference. This issue can be avoided by moving the mount forward 1-2 slots in the picatinny rail or by sizing up.
- Arken scopes require a 38mm/1.5" height mount.
- Kahles K525i DLR w/oversized parallax ring will not fit the M-Brace Mounts.
MINIMUM HEIGHT RECOMMENDATION
PENNY TEST FOR REPLICATING MOUNT HEIGHT
To estimate fit, stack pennies on top of your scope rail as pictured below.
The number of pennies to stack is determined by tube diameter and height. Please reference the table below.
Test fit using scope caps and/or a sunshade if you plan to use them.
This test does not account for inclination angle. The height of the aft ring will vary slightly depending on the inclination you choose.
30mm tube | 34mm tube | 35mm tube | 36mm tube | |
32mm height | 11 pennies | 10 pennies | 9.5 pennies | 9 pennies |
38mm height | 15 pennies | 14 pennies | 13.5 pennies | 13 pennies |
INCLINATION ANGLE
Information below is based on a 100 yd. zero.
Note: The value we recommend should be greater than or equal to the sum of the inclination angles of your picatinny rail and your M-Brace mount.
